Dr. Bone graduated from The Evergreen State College in 1999. He earned his M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a Forensic Specialization from Drexel University, then went on to complete an internship with the United States Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons in Ayer, Massachusetts between 2005-2006. Dr. Bone went on to earn a Doctor of Psychology in 2006 from the University of Denver.

Dr. Bone spends about half of his time working Clinically and half of his time with Forensic clients.

Clinically, Dr. Bone works with adolescents, young adults, and older adults. His focus is on anxiety, depression, mood, and substance abuse disorders. Dr. Bone’s primary approach is rooted in mindfulness-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

Forensically, Dr. Bone works primarily within the criminal adjudication framework for both the prosecution and defense. Secondarily, Dr. Bone works within the legal system in matters of fitness for duty, personal injury (both plaintiff and defense), on Independent Medical Examinations, and impaired professionals (for licensing matters). He also completes pre-employment evaluations and substance abuse disorder evaluations.

Dr. Bone’s free time is spent with his his partner and their two children, two dogs and two cats, friends and family. Dr. Bone enjoys skiing, cycling, running, traveling, and has learned to play ice hockey during COVID-10 (his dream of becoming an NHL Pro isn’t dead yet!)
