Sloane received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2004, and subsequently her master’s degree in Social Work in 2009 from the University of Utah. Upon graduation, she moved to Portland, Maine where she had the pleasure of working with homeless and refugee populations, providing case management and crisis services.

Sloane returned to Utah and began working in addiction and dual-diagnosis facilities, first as a therapist, then as the clinical director and creator of several programs around the Salt Lake valley. Through her work with addiction, she became educated in trauma treatment and received a certification in EMDR.

Sloane presently utilizes EMDR,  CBT, DBT, CPT, and Mindfulness in her therapy practice. She specializes in individuals, both adolescents and adults.
